Arthur W. Parks

Arthur W. Parks, Jr., 77, Dallas, passed away, Saturday, May 30, 2026 at his residence. Born in Beaumont, he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Jane Herdman Parks and was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School.

Arthur was a member of The Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post #672 American Legion, Dallas where he served two terms as commander. He had served his country proudly in the Army for 8 years and Federal Reserves for 16 years during the Vietnam conflict. He was also founding member of The American Legion Riders and Head of Building and Ground of Luzerne County Fair Grounds. Some of his favorite activities was his motorcycle riding and his Lionel trains.

Arthur was preceded in death by a Son, David Parks. Surviving is his wife the former Melanie Zeveney at home. Daughter, Tara Hettesheimer and her husband David, Noxen. Brother Craig Parks, Grandchildren, Shawn Fenner, Jr. (Maria Armbruster, Nanticoke) and Alissa Fenner (Fiancé, Judah Geise).

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa 18612. With John Doefler, officiating.
