AnnJane Cochran, 88, Dallas, passed away, Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre, born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth Morris Layaou and was a graduate of Dallas High School.
AnnJane was a bookkeeper with Prime Plumbing later becoming R. J. Walker Plumbing. She was a member of Lehman Idetown United Methodist Church and was very much involved with the church with mission projects. She was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star Chapter #328, Dallas, PA.
For more than forty years she and her husband belonged to square dance and country dance clubs as well as long-time members of The Anthracite Rose Dance Club of Dupont and was their Treasurer. She held a deep passion for gardening, spending countless days each summer in her vegetable and flower gardens.
AnnJane was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Cochran in 2003. Sisters, Esther Tweedle and Earlene Schweiss. Surviving is her daughter, Leza Thornton and her husband Brian, West Pittston; sons, David Cochran and his wife Elizabeth, Dallas, Daniel Cochran, Orange and seven grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 at 8:00 PM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Friends may call Monday from 6:00 PM until time of service.
