Ann T. Smith

November 12, 1931 — March 1, 2024

Ann T. Smith, 92, formerly of Dallas, PA, passed away on March 1, 2024, at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Elizabethtown, PA. She was born in Forty Fort, PA to Donald and Martha Treslar. She was the wife of the late Keith A. Smith. They had been married for 70 years. Ann attended Wilkes College where she was trained as a medical technologist. She used that training to obtain a position in the hematology lab at St. Luke’s Hospital where she worked in a supervisory role for 20+ years. Ann was also active in the Eastern Star, where she held the office of Worthy Matron. She also enjoyed walking, gardening, playing golf, and watching the birds, especially hummingbirds, that came to her feeders. She loved to travel and to read, and she took an active interest in politics.  She was open-minded and adventurous and generous to those in need.

Ann is survived by her brother, Donald, of Rio Rancho NM as well as a daughter Kathryn, wife of Robert Brown, of Tampa, FL; son Kenneth A. and his wife Dena of Coopersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Virginia Cranesmith (wife of Jason) of West Chester, PA, and Joseph Brown (husband of Peggy) of Madison, NJ, and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service for both Ann and Keith will be held at 11:00 March 16, 2024 at Trucksville United Methodist Church in Trucksville, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in their honor to the church or Shriner’s Childrens Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H.
