Andrew (Andy) R. Denmon, Jr., 80, Dallas, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at his residence. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Andrew and Charlotte Monk Denmon, and was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.
Andy was a supervisor in the kitchen at Chase Prison before his retirement. He was also manager of Mark II Restaurant, Dallas for some time. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dallas, and was a proud Shriner.
Andy had many hobbies including dancing and golf. He enjoyed traveling to the shore and cruising to different destinations with his beloved wife, Jeannette, and their friends. As a lifelong resident of Dallas, he was proud of his neighborhood and his home. Andy was a friendly face to everyone in town, and was always lending a helping hand to his neighbors.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Voight Denmon. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, the former Jeannette Gosart, a brother, Warren Denmon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 474 Yallick Road, Dallas, with The Rev. Charles Grube officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Those attending the funeral are to go directly to the church.
