Alice Williams

October 9, 1945 — November 16, 2022

Alice Jean Williams peacefully passed away to the “Spirit in the Sky” on November 16, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Alfred “Mark” Williams and the daughter of the late Willard and Ella (Mosier) Newberry. Alice is survived by her children Leonard Dorrance of Luzerne, and Lisa Thomas of Dallas, who held her hand and whispered in her ear “I love you” over and over as she peacefully passed. She leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren to carry on her legacy. Siblings, Willard Newberry, Jr., Janet Fritsky, and Judy Fitzgerald all of Dallas, and Carol Kildoyle of Lyons, NY. And several nieces and nephews.

What was there not to love about Alice? Her big brown eyes, her warm smile, her great sense of humor, and charming personality. She loved her sweets (cookies), and she loved her music. If there was a microphone, Alice found it and would sing Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” or other favorites of hers. But most importantly, she loved her family. She had an unbreakable bond with her siblings. She enjoyed her tea and cake time with her sisters, filling each other in with the latest gossip in their lives. Her children were here pride and joy. They are her legacy, who each inherited parts of her personality and will carry that with them until they no longer walk this earth. She is now at peace, eating her cookies and cake in her brand new home in the sky that her “Sweetie” built for her. “A mother is a son’s first true love. A son is a mother’s last true love.” We love you with every fiber of our hearts.
