God called home his servant Geraldine Geri Sestak Bartz, 88, Dallas, on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Highland Park Senior Living, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Schreiber Sestak and was a graduate of Coughlin High School.
Geri was a dispatcher with Commonwealth Telephone until her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake and would also attend Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary society of both churches, Mercy Center Auxiliary. Lehman Women’s Club. Silver sneakers. She was an avid walker and at one time a water-skier. She very much loved to travel to Myrtle Beach.
Geri was preceded in death by her husband Leon. A sister, Margaret Nattrass, and a brother, Andrew Sestak. Surviving is her daughter, Lynn Bartz, Dallas. Her dogs, Rascal and Remy. Sister, Helene Jewell and her husband John Jewell. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa 18612 with Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
